The little shock you get from this is enough to damage your RAM (memory stick), cause the CMOS (mother board brain), or even the other cards in the computer to fail or to corrupt your data. A vacuum cleaner is one of the worst things to try to clean your computers insides with, because the movement of dust through the vacuum hose is like sticking a static wand into the computer. A can of compressed air is one of the preferred ways to clean the PC, just remember to un-plug the computer first!
