Maintenance/SoftwareResponsbility
Maintenance/SoftwareResponsbility: "
Why it is important to have maintenance?
When there is dust build-up on and around the fans that cool the CPU and Motherboard, the air flow can not cool down the components and things beging to heat up. This chip was burned because it could not get enough cool air and it over heated, which resulted in replacing the motherboard.
When a computer has been in use, dust is pulled in with the air. There is no where for the dust to go except to build-up on the computer parts. As dust builds up the air flow becomes blocked and can no longer cool the compontents in the PC. This picture is a little over dramatic but it gets the thought across.
The first picture is of a power supply that has not been cleaned. Air can not be moved to cool its capistors and eventually will burn out the power supply.
Here is the same power supply after it has been cleaned. Air can now flow and the power supply as well as the computer has had its life extended to at least another year or so.
Dust is like an insulation, it will keep the heat in.
Dust also can act as a conduit, where electricity can jump across from one circuit to the next and short-out the mother-board and the PC.
Worst case, it can cause a fire.
